Walkers

Medtech Services maintains a wide selection of walkers in inventory. From standard walkers with or without wheels to rolling walkers with hand brakes and seats, walkers are designed to meet the mobility needs of a person who has impaired ambulation.  If you are considering purchasing a walker, visit our showroom and try several before deciding which one is right for you.

The Standard Folding Walker is a mobility aid that can be equipped with or without wheels, is height adjustable, and can be folded. The standard walker with or without wheels can come in both adult and junior heights. User heights under 5' 2" are normally considered junior height. Other features of standard folding walkers are the means of folding. Look for walkers that have either a push button, or a paddle type of release.

The Rolling Walker with or without Hand Brake is designed to offer mobility assistance to a person who has the hand function to squeeze a hand brake or to push down on the walker to activate a spring loaded rear wheel that will slow the walker. These types of walkers are popular because they normally come with a fold down seat and some type of basket or pouch. Most manufacturers offer a variety of frame colors to choose from. Look at rolling walkers with different sized wheels to determine which is going to be easiest for you to maneuver.
